Tracking a few storms tomorrow, triple-digit heat this weekend

TONIGHT: Storms fizzle out after sunset, and skies remain partly cloudy. Lows fall to the low 70s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, and hot and humid, with a heat index in the mid-90s. Isolated storms are possible, but almost everyone will stay dry.

EXTENDED: The heat keeps rising this weekend, with a heat index near 100 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. A few storms are possible Saturday night, but we'll be dry both days of the weekend. Monday will likely be the hottest day of the forecast, peaking near 105 in some spots. Tuesday may also be just as hot, but a front will move through the area sometime late Tuesday, producing a few storms and cooling temperatures back to the 80s midweek.
