Tracking sunnier, milder conditions returning to Mid-Missouri

TODAY: I'm tracking scattered showers and storms to the south of I-70, gradually exiting throughout the morning hours as sunshine begins to return areawide. Walking out the door, temperatures will be in the low 70s to start the morning, warming into the mid-80s by the afternoon hours. Brief pop-up storms could be possible near and south of the I-70 corridor, but severe weather is not a concern compared to yesterday, and most will remain dry throughout the day. Winds will be out of the north at 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking dry, clear conditions returning overnight as temperatures drop into the upper 60s by the end of the night. Winds will be out of the northeast at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: Mostly sunny conditions are expected throughout Monday as temperatures walking out the door will begin in the upper 60s, warming into the mid-80s by the afternoon hours. Dewpoints will be in the mid-60s rather than the 70s, so feels-like temperatures will be topping out in the low to mid 90s. This trend of sunnier, cooler weather continues for Tuesday and Wednesday, and although temperatures will remain around the same for the rest of the week into the weekend, another chance for more widespread showers and storms is on the way. Thursday into Friday, another wave of low pressure will move into the region, bringing those chances of precipitation, before moving out to bring drier weather for the weekend.
