Tracking lower humidity and sunshine midweek

THIS AFTERNOON: Fair and sunny, with highs near 80 degrees and lower humidity. Winds from the east will be steady at 5 to 15 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear, with cool low temperatures in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: Quiet and calm weather will last through Thursday, but daily rain chances are expected to return for the weekend, starting Friday. Humidity will also increase, with warmer temperatures in the mid-80s. Some dry time is possible, but rain totals will reach an inch or more for most of the area, with a low risk of flooding this weekend.
