Tracking a warmup with showers and storms returning to the forecast

TODAY: I'm tracking a cool start to the day as temperatures begin in the upper 30s and low 40s. By the afternoon hours, sunshine paired with southwesterly winds at 5-10 mph, gusting at 15 mph, will help temperatures warm into the mid-70s.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking an isolated potential for storms during the overnight hours, some of which could briefly produce hailstones. Temperatures will drop into the mid-50s by the end of the night as winds blow out of the southwest at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a mostly dry and warm first half of the day for Monday as temperatures warm into the upper 70s. By the evening/overnight hours of Monday, scattered showers and storms will enter the area, but the potential for any severe storms is low at this point. Showers and storms continue throughout Tuesday as a front passes through the area, and with that will come slightly cooler weather. By Wednesday afternoon, as showers exit the region, temperatures will only warm into the mid-50s, and by Thursday, sunshine will help temperatures get into the mid-60s. Slightly warmer weather is expected to return for the end of the week as another chance of isolated showers arrives on Friday.
