Tracking a cool end to Easter

TONIGHT: Clear and chilly, with lows falling into the upper 30s and low 40s. Winds from the northwest will calm to between 5 and 10 mph.

TOMORROW: Sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds. Highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. Expect a steady breeze from the north at 5 to 10 mph.

EXTENDED: Conditions remain cool and calm through Monday, but a cold front on Monday night will bring a round of near-freezing temperatures and a mix of light rain and snow into early Tuesday. It's uncertain exactly where snow will fall on Tuesday morning, but in the worst-case, a thin band of up to 2 inches of snow is possible north of I-70, in places like Moberly, Mexico, Paris, Macon, and Vandalia. Any impacts will be brief, and Tuesday afternoon is comfortably above freezing in the 50s. Much warmer weather is expected mid to late week with highs in the 70s from Wednesday through the weekend, but this warmup comes at the expense of daily chances for showers and storms.
