Tracking record highs and gusty winds this afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Sunny and warm, with record highs in the mid-80s. Winds from the southwest will be strong at 10 to 15 mph, with some gusts up to 30 mph.

TONIGHT: Temperatures remain very mild overnight, still in the 70s through sunset. Lows will gradually fall to the mid-60s with blustery southerly winds.

EXTENDED: Highs will approach records again in the low 80s tomorrow, but clouds will increase into the afternoon as a cold front nears. Scattered showers and rumbles of thunder will arrive Tuesday night, and rain chances continue through the middle of the week as the front stalls over the area. Wednesday and Thursday will be mild and wet in the 60s to low 70s. A brief break in the rain is possible early Friday, but another round of showers and storms will move through late Friday and Saturday. We may finally see rain end by Easter Sunday, but soggy conditions are likely after 3 to 4 inches of rain throughout the week.
