Tracking a short stretch of chilly weather before warmer temperatures return

TODAY: I'm tracking high temperatures in the mid-50s this afternoon as winds out of the north at 10-15 mph continue. Cloud cover will gradually exit throughout the afternoon hours, leading to the return of sunshine.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking temperatures continuing to cool, dropping near and below freezing by sunrise Saturday morning. This has led to an area-wide freeze warning tonight, expiring tomorrow morning. If you've put any sensitive plants out on the patio early, be sure to bring them in tonight!

EXTENDED: I'm tracking temperatures warming throughout the rest of the forecast, with highs near 60 Saturday, warming into the low 70s by Sunday. Even warmer air is expected Monday, with 80s returning to the picture. Tuesday through Thursday looks like the wettest window of time in the forecast, with multiple storm chances, which will also lead to a gradual cooling trend throughout the end of the week.
