Tracking high winds, blowing snow, and extreme cold tomorrow

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with mild temperatures in the upper 50s. Winds will be noticeable at 10 to 20 mph.

TOMORROW: An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has been issued for high winds, blowing snow, and extreme cold on Sunday. The morning will be dry and warm in the 60s before a line of storms develops in central and eastern Missouri between 12 and 3 p.m. These storms could produce isolated damaging winds, but this threat is mostly east of our area. Temperatures will drop to the 40s and 30s by the evening, causing precipitation to change to light snow after 4 to 5 PM. Poor visibility is possible Sunday night with falling snow, along with very strong winds at 40 to 50 mph, which could also cause damage. Snow will stop before midnight, with 0-1" possible in northern and eastern Missouri.

EXTENDED: Extreme cold will move in Sunday night, with wind chills dropping below zero through Monday morning. Monday will remain below freezing, and wind chills Monday night will fall into the single digits. Tuesday is slightly warmer in the 40s, but much milder weather is expected for the rest of the week with temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
