Tracking dry and mild weather returning before more active weather

TODAY: I'm tracking showers and storms exiting throughout the morning hours, leading to a mostly dry but cloudy afternoon. The cold front that brought all this storm activity will now be bringing northwesterly winds at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, leading to temperatures dropping into the mid-40s this morning, barely warming into the upper 40s by the afternoon hours.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking clouds quickly clearing throughout the evening hours, leading to a mostly clear evening in Central Missouri. Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s by the end of the night as winds continue to blow out of the northwest at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a quick warmup throughout Sunday as sunshine persists and winds shift back into the southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, leading to temperatures in the mid-60s by the afternoon hours. Even warmer weather is expected Monday as temperatures start in the upper 40s, warming into the upper 70s by the afternoon. This warmer weather lasts into Tuesday, but this is where the next round of potentially strong to severe storms arrives for Central Missouri. The potential for storms will be picking up during the afternoon hours of Tuesday before a cold front arrives late overnight into Wednesday morning. After this, temperatures will drop back into the mid to upper 50s for Wednesday and Thursday before warming back into the 60s on Friday.
