Tracking scattered snow tonight and a bitterly cold weekend
TONIGHT: Scattered snow chances are possible through 8 to 9 PM, with isolated accumulations up to half an inch. Visibility may become an issue in some areas, with strong winds gusting up to 30 mph. Temperatures will drop behind a cold front, with lows in the teens.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and cold, with highs remaining in the upper teens and low 20s. Breezy northerly winds will keep the wind chill in the single digits all day.
EXTENDED: An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day takes effect Sunday morning as clouds clear the area, causing temperatures to fall into the single digits and wind chills to go below zero. Highs on Sunday will reach around freezing, but another cold front will push temperatures back into the 20s and teens on Monday. Wind chills on Monday and Tuesday morning could be near zero, but likely not as bad as Sunday. The forecast stays dry through early next week before a warmup and more chances for precipitation.
