Tracking light showers tonight and a cooler weekend ahead
TONIGHT: Temperatures will stay mostly in the 40s overnight as light showers move through the area between midnight and sunrise. A few flurries might mix in, but no snow accumulation is expected. Rain will be very light, around a few tenths of an inch. Lows will briefly dip into the 30s early Saturday.
TOMORROW: Expect decreasing clouds in the morning, with mostly sunny skies by early afternoon. Temperatures climb into the low to mid-40s. A band of clouds will move through late in the afternoon and evening, bringing a few sprinkles at most.
EXTENDED: Sunshine returns on Sunday, but temperatures will be cold in the 30s. Winds will also be gusty out of the northwest this weekend, sustained at around 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. As high pressure moves east into the workweek, winds will shift out of the southwest, bringing a quick warmup to the 50s on Monday and Tuesday. Those winds will also be noticeable, gusting above 20 mph. This could be the last time temperatures reach the 50s for a while, as several systems moving in from the north later next week will bring more seasonable temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
