Tracking sunshine and warm temperatures

THIS AFTERNOON: Sunny and warm, with highs in the low 60s south of I-70. Temperatures will be cooler in the upper 40s and 50s up north behind a cold front. Winds from the west may gust up to 20 mph.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear, and temperatures dive to the lower 30s overnight. Winds lighten up after sunset.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will jump nearly thirty degrees on Wednesday, from around freezing in the morning to the low 60s in the afternoon. Clouds start rolling in late tomorrow, but rain will hold off until early Thursday. Scattered showers and possibly a few rumbles of thunder are possible throughout Thursday, with around a half-inch of rain for most. Friday may start drier, but a secondary system will bring another round of rain later in the day, and as cooler air arrives Friday night, a mix of rain and snow is possible. Accumulations should be light regardless, and wintry precipitation wraps up early Saturday. Temperatures start to plummet this weekend, falling to the 40s and 30s by Saturday.
