Tracking fog and clouds to end the week before a noticeable warmup
TODAY: I'm tracking fog to start the morning for areas along and south of I-70, potentially leading to slick spots for those that are below freezing when this fog is present. Temperatures will start in the low 30s during the morning hours, only warming into the mid-30s by the afternoon hours as persistent cloud cover and winds out of the northeast at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph are expected.
TONIGHT: I'm tracking a low chance to observe mixed precipitation, but most will stay dry and unimpacted as cloud cover leaves the area and temperatures drop into the mid-20s. Winds will be out of the northeast at 5-10 mph.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking sunshine making a return for the weekend, leading to temperatures warming into the low 40s on Saturday, then into the mid-40s by Sunday. Much warmer weather is expected by Monday as breezy southerly winds enter the area, leading to temperatures starting in the mid-30s and warming into the low 60s by the afternoon hours. Upper 50s will persist throughout the majority of next week, but on Thursday, a system will be entering the area and bring chances of widespread rain along with it.
