Tracking a foggy, mild Christmas day and a late weekend cooldown
TONIGHT: I'm tracking another foggy night for Christmas Eve, with the highest chance to observe dense fog being along and north of I-70. Temperatures will drop into the low 50s by the end of the night as winds blow out of the north at 5-10 mph.
TOMORROW: I'm tracking fog lasting through the morning hours of Christmas Day before gradually breaking apart during the afternoon hours. This will lead to temperatures only warming into the low 60s by the afternoon hours as winds blow out of the east at 8-12 mph.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking warm and dry weather for Friday and Saturday as slightly more sunshine is expected. Temperatures will warm into the upper 60s and low 70s before a noticeable cooldown arrives on Sunday. Sunday morning, temperatures will start in the mid-50s as rain showers pass through the area. Temperatures will be dropping into the mid-30s by the afternoon hours as breezy northerly winds take over, leading to temperatures in the teens on Monday morning. This cooler weather will last throughout the first half of next week.
