Tracking a slight cooldown before warmer weather returns

TODAY: I'm tracking a mostly sunny day as winds start out of the south at 8-12 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. This is why temperatures will begin in the mid-30s during the morning hours, warming into the low 50s by the afternoon.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking temperatures dropping because of a cold front passing through earlier in the day, making winds shift to the north at 8-12 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. By the end of the night, upper 20s can be expected as slightly more cloud cover arrives.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking slightly cooler weather for Sunday as temperatures warm into the mid-40s by the afternoon hours. A mix of sun and clouds can be expected as winds start in the north and shift into the south at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph during the afternoon hours. Clouds are expected to linger through the first half of this coming week, but rain is not expected. Stronger southerly flow will be in place at this point, leading to temperatures warming into the low 50s for Monday, low 60s for Tuesday, and low 70s for Wednesday. This warmth will continue into Thursday, Christmas Day, and more sunshine can be expected to come with it.
