Tracking one more brutal night before a big workweek warmup
TONIGHT: Clear and cold with temperatures dropping into the lower teens. Wind chills will be near, but above zero, in the single digits.
TOMORROW: Very cold in the morning, warming quickly to the 40s in the afternoon under sunny skies. Winds from the southwest will be gusty, reaching up to 25 mph.
EXTENDED: Southerly winds will bring a big boost in temperatures this week as we climb to the 50s on Tuesday, and upper 50s on Wednesday. A quick round of showers is possible Wednesday night and Thursday morning, bringing up to a quarter of an inch of rain to eastern Missouri. Winds will be strong behind that system, possibly gusting above 30 mph by the end of the day Thursday. Temperatures briefly dip on Friday, falling to the 30s, but the extended forecast remains near or above average with highs in the 40s and 50s as we approach Christmas.
