Tracking increasing clouds ahead of potential snowfall Saturday
TODAY: I'm tracking temperatures starting in the low 20s walking out the door, only warming into the upper 30s by the afternoon hours as clouds gradually enter the area. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5-8 mph.
TONIGHT: I'm tracking temperatures dropping back down into the low 30s as a system moves in from the west, bringing the potential for widespread rain and snow during the overnight hours into Saturday morning. Winds will be out of the southeast at 8-12 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking widespread rain and the potential for accumulating snow lasting throughout Saturday, which is why an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day will be in effect tonight through tomorrow. Sunday is expected to be dry and cool, but the potential for more flurries is expected to arrive by Monday. After this, chilly mornings will continue, only warming into the mid to upper 30s by the afternoon hours Tuesday-Thursday.
