Tracking dreary skies and scattered showers

TODAY: Temperatures will be cool in the 50s under clouds and rain. Scattered showers are expected throughout the afternoon, possibly becoming more spotty in the evening. You can expect wet bleachers at Friday night football games.

TONIGHT: Isolated showers will continue overnight as temperatures tumble to the 40s.

EXTENDED: Scattered showers persist over the weekend, with the best rain chances during the middle of the day. Rain keeps temperatures cool in the upper 50s, while nights remain cold in the 40s. Another round of light rain is possible on Monday and Tuesday, but rain totals will be lackluster, maybe over a half inch in the wettest spots. Drier weather settles back in late week, and seasonably cool temperatures are expected through the end of the month.
