Tracking cool fall temperatures, rain chances this weekend

TODAY: Sunny and mild with highs in the mid-60s. Winds will be much lighter from the northwest between 5 and 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Clear through sunset, but upper level clouds roll in late overnight. Clouds will keep lows a few degrees higher in the low 40s.

EXTENDED: Light rain arrives in southwestern Missouri by early Friday morning, spreading areawide in the afternoon. Showers will be light but persistent, keeping temperatures cool in the 50s. On and off rain chances continue throughout the weekend, adding up to a few tenths of an inch by Sunday. Another wave of rain is possible on Monday and Tuesday as well, while temperatures remain very fall-like in the 50s and 60s.
