Tracking scattered rain chances this afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly cloudy and soggy with temperatures in the low 70s. Scattered showers and storms are possible throughout the day, but lightning should be isolated.

TONIGHT: Storms taper off after sunset, with rain likely ending by midnight. Skies become mostly clear by Thursday morning with lows in the 50s.

EXTENDED: Dry weather settles in for the rest of the week, with another day in the 70s on Thursday. A steady warmup is expected over the weekend, bringing highs into the mid-80s by Mizzou's homecoming on Saturday. Temperatures remain in the 80s throughout next week with little to no rain expected.
