Tracking rain chances and milder temperatures on the way

TODAY: Highs reach the upper 80s under mostly cloudy skies as storms remain isolated for most of the day. Storm coverage increases after 4 to 5 p.m., lasting through sunset. An isolated strong storm or two could produce small hail and damaging winds.

TONIGHT: Storms wane overnight with most of the area dry after midnight. Rainfall totals may reach an inch in the wettest spots. Low temperatures remain mild in the mid-60s.

EXTENDED: Friday looks drier, with a very low chance of a pop-up storm during the day. Otherwise, it will be milder in the low 80s in the afternoon and great for Friday night football games in the 70s tomorrow evening. The Mizzou game on Saturday will be dicier, with chances of storms increasing again on Saturday night. Rain chances will continue into early next week, cooling high temperatures to the low 80s and upper 70s.
