Tracking spotty storms as summer heat holds

THIS MORNING: Mostly clear and quiet with temperatures warming from the 60s in the early morning to the upper 80s before noon.

TODAY: Mostly sunny and hot with highs in the low 90s. Spotty storms are possible in the heat of the day, mostly west of Hwy 63.

EXTENDED: Wednesday looks mostly dry and just as hot with highs in the low 90s. A slow-moving disturbance late this week will bring several rounds of showers and storms from Thursday through the weekend, with some dry time in between. Highs fall to the low 80s under the clouds and rain, and around an inch of rain is possible in the wettest spots.
