Tracking summer-like heat for football this weekend

TODAY: Mostly sunny and hot with highs in the mid-90s. Temperatures will still be around 90 by kickoff for Friday night football.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and warm as temperatures fall into the 80s by sunset, dropping to the low 70s overnight.

EXTENDED: Tailgating will be mild on Saturday morning as temperatures quickly warm through the 70s and 80s. Kickoff at noon will already be around 90 degrees, with highs rising into the mid-90s by the end of the game. Sunday is just as hot in the mid-90s, but clouds and isolated storms are possible in the heat of the day. Almost everyone will stay dry, and spotty rain chances will continue through parts of next week.
