Tracking clear skies and warm temperatures

TODAY: The sunshine looks to stick around for most of our Wednesday. Temperatures remain fairly comfortable, reaching the upper 80s by this afternoon. The humidity stays away for now, allowing the heat index to remain more relaxed.

TONIGHT: A light wind from the south may help to increase the amount of humidity we see over the weekend. Tonight we remain clear and dry, with temperatures touching the lower 70s.

EXTENDED: A small cell to our north might bring the chance of some rain this afternoon, but will most likely weaken by the time it reaches our area. After the winds begin to come from the south, that's when our temperature and humidity will begin to increase. A high pressure system will remain overhead for most of our week, leaving us fairly dry for a great Independence Day, however the head index values could reach the lower 100s. There's a chance for storms both Saturday and Sunday, though these look to be weak. Heading into next week, the storm chances remain as a cold front slowly makes its way through our area.
