Tracking a drier weekend for Father’s Day plans

TODAY: Mostly sunny and seasonal with high temperatures climbing back into the low to mid 80s. Humidity remains heavy, adding on a few degrees to the heat index.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny with more clouds. Highs remain in the mid-80s as mugginess continues.

EXTENDED: Rain chances return on Monday, but will be scattered with dry time in between. Much of Tuesday remains dry before another round of rain by the late afternoon and evening. A cold front on Wednesday could produce our next substantial rain chances, including a few stronger storms. Scattered rain may continue later into the week as well, but high temperatures will hover in the mid to upper 80s throughout the forecast. Some 90-degree days are possible, which would be a first for much of Mid-MO this season.
