Tracking rounds of severe storms this weekend

TODAY: Saturday is an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for the risk of severe storms between noon and 8 PM this evening. Scattered thunderstorms that develop in the afternoon will carry a risk of damaging winds and a few possible tornadoes. Temperatures reach the mid-70s with heavy humidity.

TOMORROW: Sunday is another Weather Alert Day as a cold front may produce more severe storms between 3 PM and midnight tomorrow. The severe threat shifts to large hail and damaging winds, but a few isolated tornadoes may still be possible.

EXTENDED: Drier weather takes hold early next week as sunshine returns on Monday and highs climb close to average around the 80-degree mark. Rain chances hold off until Thursday or possibly later, with plenty of dry time beforehand.
