Tracking a seasonal and sunny weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Friday is a bright and mild day. A light breeze from the northwest will keep us in the low 70s again this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Some high clouds roll in overnight, but skies remain mostly clear. Lows will fall briefly to the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: The weekend remains sunny and mild as temperatures climb to the mid to upper 70s, possibly reaching 80 on Mother's Day. Rain chances return on Monday and Tuesday, but rain will be scattered, and many areas will be dry or only see a few tenths of an inch of rainfall. The extended forecast is even warmer as highs could rise into the upper 80s late next week.
