Tracking more scattered rain chances late week

THIS AFTERNOON: Scattered rain chances bubble up again this afternoon, but some will stay dry. Temperatures reach the 70s in the driest spots today.

TONIGHT: Showers will clear overnight, and skies will become partly cloudy. Lows will fall to near average in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: Friday starts with sunshine, but more afternoon showers are possible as a system drags a cold front through the region. Scattered rain will likely linger behind the front for parts of early Saturday, but dry time is expected this weekend. Sunday is looking even drier, but temperatures will be cooler as highs fall into the 60s over the weekend.
