Tracking drier but cloudy conditions this weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Temperatures reach the 70s today as a cold front sinks south and pushes rain chances out of the area. A stray storm is possible near the Lake and I-44 through the evening, but almost all will stay dry.

TONIGHT: Clouds fill in overnight as temperatures drop to the low 50s.

EXTENDED: Saturday is mostly dry but also mostly cloudy, with highs in the 60s. A wave of scattered showers and storms will arrive early Sunday, again keeping temperatures in the 60s. Thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday will be more concerning; an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has been issued for Monday and Tuesday for the risk of severe thunderstorms. More rain is possible through Wednesday and Thursday, adding up to a half-inch to an inch of rainfall or more. Showers will finally give us a break into the next weekend.
