Tracking Severe Storm Chances for Easter Sunday

TONIGHT: I'm tracking showers and rumbles of thunder persisting throughout the overnight hours as winds shift into the south at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Temperatures will drop into the low 50s by the end of the night.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking showers exiting the region by 8-10 am, with strong to severe storms becoming possible in the west near Sedalia by 2-3 pm. An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has been issued because these strong to severe storms with all hazards possible become more likely near Columbia and Jefferson City by 5-6 pm. EXTENDED: I'm tracking a brief period of dry weather Monday and Tuesday as temperatures quickly climb into the upper 70s by Tuesday afternoon. Chances for rain return Tuesday evening, with more widespread potential for showers/storms arriving Wednesday-Thursday. The rest of the week will be rain-filled as temperatures sit in the low to mid 70s each afternoon.
