Tracking lighter snow flurries this afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Wednesday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day, as measurable snow will impact travel conditions across the region. A light dusting is possible the rest of the day but the heaviest snow has fallen, amounting to 1 to 3 inches in parts of the area. Major roads have improved early in the afternoon but side streets and parking lots could be tricky.

TONIGHT: Snow ends tonight but a refreeze will become a concern with temperatures dropping to near single digits.

EXTENDED: Thursday is sunny and cold with highs in the 20s but a notable warmup moves in on Valentine's Day on Friday when we reach the upper 30s. Saturday will be milder as well but this comes ahead of chances for rain on Saturday. There is a chance for snow as this next system exits and ushers in colder air again early next week.
