Tracking clouds today, arctic air returning tonight
TODAY: Mostly cloudy with isolated flurries possible. Temperatures climb above freezing to the mid-30s in the afternoon. Winds will be breezy up to 20 mph at times.
TOMORROW: Much colder in the morning in the low teens. Despite more sunshine, highs only reach the mid to lower 20s. A northwesterly breeze adds on more chill with wind gusts near 20 mph.
EXTENDED: Arctic air settles in behind a cold front Sunday night, pushing highs to the 20s and lows to the single digits through Wednesday. Temperatures rebound by Thursday morning and climb through Friday before a chance for rain Friday night. Rain is expected to be the primary precipitation type in our area but there is a low probability of light snow flurries mixing in as this system departs.
