Tracking early morning fog and peeks at sunshine today

TODAY: Dense fog through midmorning, then clearing into the afternoon. Temperatures will be very mild for late December in the 50s. Sunshine will be brief as rain chances track by to the southeast this evening and overnight.

TOMORROW: Light rain may linger through the early morning, with another chance of clearing by the afternoon. High temperatures remain in the 50s.

EXTENDED: More sunshine is possible early Monday before the next round of rain arrives into Tuesday. This will pull in colder air for the new year as highs tumble to the 40s and 30s but Mid-MO finally sees a respite from the persistent dreary and wet conditions.
