Tracking a wet afternoon, drier weekend ahead

THIS AFTERNOON: Another round of rain tracks through during the afternoon and evening while temperatures remain steady in the upper 40s and low 50s.

TONIGHT: Rain and drizzle slowly come to an end late overnight. Fog is possible in the coolest spots tonight with lows in the lower 40s.

EXTENDED: Drier conditions and peeks at sunshine are expected during the daylight hours this weekend, with a quick round of rain Saturday night into Sunday. Highs remain mild in the 50s ahead of another chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday. This will bring a cooldown and drier weather by the new year.
