Tracking a sunny but chilly afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Clear and cold with below-freezing wind chills all day. Layer up for holiday plans.

TONIGHT: Temperatures settle in the mid-20s overnight, not as cold as recent days.

EXTENDED: A big warmup moves in tomorrow with highs jumping about 20 degrees up to the 50s on Saturday. The weekend starts off sunny but clouds track in on Sunday and Monday with slim rain chances in the forecast. It will still be nice to get outside through Monday in the 50s but a few showers will be possible by late Sunday evening and again on Monday afternoon. Rain has a relatively small impact compared to the cold that follows as highs drop back to the 30s midweek.
