Tracking warmer temperatures into the week as rain chances remain low

THIS AFTERNOON: Highs reach 80 degrees under constant sunshine.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear through sundown as clouds and rain arrive from the west closer to midnight. Showers will be very light amounting to only a tenth of an inch in the best spots. Temperatures remain mild in the 50s.

EXTENDED: After a puny round of rain clears out on Tuesday morning, winds will ramp up from the south gusting above 20 mph. This brings an even warmer afternoon with highs in the lower 80s tomorrow. Cool air filters in briefly for Wednesday, but we remain above average in the 70s. Thursday flares back up to near 80 yet again ahead of our next system. This will bring a slightly better chance for rain into Friday, and a much more pronounced cooldown. Next weekend could be back in the 60s though much of the long-term forecast remains near to above average.
