Tracking above average temperatures after rain

TODAY: A round of rain before sunrise only brings in warmer conditions for Sunday with highs in the 70s. Skies will quickly clear through the morning though winds remain gusty from the south up to 30 mph.

TOMORROW: Conditions are mostly clear for the eclipse forecast on Monday. Temperatures will be mild in the 70s and winds settle down. We're still tracking some high clouds possible, with skies becoming steadily cloudier to the southeast.

EXTENDED: Rain arrives from the south Monday night and sets a trend for a wet pattern through Thursday. The best chance for widespread rainfall will be on Wednesday (50%), before a gradual clearing into Friday. Rain totals could exceed 2" in some parts of southern Mid-MO.
