Tracking more sunshine into the weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Friday is a bright day despite some thin clouds arriving through the day. Temperatures will end up in the mid-to-upper 50s this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Conditions remain clear and calm overnight. We won't expect another freeze with lows dipping to the upper 30s.

EXTENDED: We get back into the 60s by Saturday afternoon but remain weather aware of showers and a few weak thunderstorms in the evening. Rain lasts through early Sunday with totals ranging between a tenth to a quarter of an inch. Sunday afternoon is likely dry with highs in the 70s. We'll stay dry on Monday for the eclipse but some clouds may work in ahead of our next system. Otherwise, it's a warm day with highs in the 70s. Rain chances return Tuesday through Thursday with a system that tracks by to our south.
