Tracking more severe storm potential this afternoon
TODAY: Thursday is another ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for the potential for more hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes this afternoon. This will be an areawide threat, but the best chances are southeast of a line from Sedalia to Mexico, due to the passing of the cold front this evening. Temperatures this afternoon reach the upper 70s.
TONIGHT: The severe threat will end from northwest to southeast shortly after sunset. Clouds likely stick around overnight into early Friday and temperatures stay in the 40s.
EXTENDED: After morning clouds, afternoon sun might be enough to get temperatures near 60 Friday. We'll be mild and sunny on Saturday, with highs in the 60s, but a cold front drops us into the 50s by Sunday afternoon. It's a cooler start next week, with Monday morning starting in the 20s, and highs only reaching the 40s. We'll warm back into the 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
