Tracking light flurries and drizzle today

TODAY: Drizzle and light snow continues most of today with temperatures above freezing in the 30s. This won't be able to accumulate on roads and precip finally exits tonight.

TOMORROW: Clouds stick around on Sunday keeping highs chilly around the 40 degree mark.

EXTENDED: An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has been issued for Monday and Tuesday ahead of a strong winter storm system. We can expect precipitation to start Monday afternoon as rain, then gradually work east and transition to snow late Monday afternoon or evening. There will be a rain/snow line across southern Missouri on Monday into Tuesday, with still a little uncertainty on the exact track of the low. The track will determine areas of higher snowfall accumulation, with the most favored locations along and north of I-70 at this time. Road impacts are likely between Monday night and much of Tuesday, with snow-covered roads and gusty winds up to 35 mph. Snow comes to an end west to east on Tuesday evening, leaving us cold and breezy for Tuesday night. There could be some snow-packed roads that cause dangerous driving conditions into Wednesday, but we can expect dry skies through Wednesday and much of Thursday.
