Tracking freezing conditions into the new year

New Year's Eve: Mostly cloudy and breezy with isolated flurries possible. Temperatures will struggle above freezing this afternoon into the mid-30s. By the time we ring in the new year the wind chill will be in the lower 20s and teens.

New Year's Day: Conditions won't look much different into New Year's, but flurries will likely come to an end before Monday morning. Highs remain stuck in the 30s.

Extended: The first week of 2024 looks quiet with near-average highs in the lower 40s. Several systems will dodge the area midweek, with a better chance of precip next weekend.
