Tracking clearing conditions after several rounds of snow

THIS AFTERNOON: Flurries taper off through the day as clouds slowly break apart from west to east. Temperatures will struggle against a northerly breeze that keeps us in the 30s.

TONIGHT: Temperatures drop to below freezing, which could redevelop slick spots on wet roads. Lows bottom out in the 20s.

EXTENDED: This weekend is quiet with sunshine and near seasonal temperatures in the low 40s and upper 30s. New Year's Eve night will be chilly as lows dip down into the lower 20s. New Year's Day looks cold with sun and highs in the mid-30s. The rest of the week looks quiet and seasonably cool with high temperatures in the lower 40s.
