Tracking a Thanksgiving forecast that keeps on giving

TODAY: There's plenty to be thankful for today with highs in the 50s and mostly sunny skies. Winds will generally be out of the southwest before switching from the north into tonight.

TONIGHT: Early morning shoppers should stay layered up as lows drop to the lower 30s. Breezes will also be noticeable gusting up to 20 mph; this puts the feels-like in the upper teens early Friday.

EXTENDED: Late week remains chilly, and with that comes a chance for the first snow of the season for some. A system will track through from sundown Saturday to sunrise Sunday, the best time to see subfreezing temps. Exact placement is still uncertain, but the best areas to receive a dusting on grassy surfaces will be mostly north of I-70. No impacts are expected for travel as the rest of the forecast remains quiet.
