Tracking cooler temperatures and more rain chances on the way

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a cold front that's brought brief and heavy downpours plus much cooler temperatures exiting mid-Missouri. Temperatures continue to plummet into the rest of the night, with high 30s and low 40s expected by the end of the night.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking a small "warm-up" with a partly cloudy sky in the morning. Temperatures only make it up into the high 40s before clouds and rain chances increase throughout the day. The afternoon into evening hours will be the best chance for rainfall (60-80%) and will stick around into Sunday.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking temperatures continuing to decline to end the weekend, with an increased rain chance sticking throughout Sunday morning and afternoon (70-80%). There is a very slight chance for mixed precipitation through mid-MO the afternoon and evening hours, but no travel impacts are expected as ground temperatures are still well above freezing. Moisture is also decreasing throughout the day Sunday, so precipitation chances will decline through the day. Sunday night into Monday morning, once the clouds lift, temperatures drop into the mid to high 20s for low temperatures, and high temperatures only reaching into the mid to high 40s through the first half of the week. With a passage of a dry cold front on Tuesday morning/early afternoon, I'll be tracking a very chilly setup for Trick-or-Treating on Halloween.
