Tracking a dry end to the weekend and rain for the work week
TONIGHT: I'm tracking a clear sky with winds shifting to the north at 5-10 mph. Temperatures will cool off into the low/mid 40s with the help of these winds and a cold front that passed through earlier today.
TOMORROW: I'm tracking a mostly sunny sky and cooler temperatures because of the cold front that traversed over Missouri today. High temperatures will be in the high 60s and low 70s by the afternoon hours. Clouds will start to build in the evening hours, and there is a very slight chance for light rain across north-central Missouri in the evening and overnight hours (10%).
EXTENDED: I'm tracking temperatures quickly bouncing back with the help of stronger southwest winds in the first days of this next work week. They'll work their way into the high 70s and possibly low 80s, with a partly cloudy sky on Monday, then becoming a bit more mostly cloudy by Tuesday. This is where the active pattern picks up, as Tuesday night into Wednesday morning mid-Missouri will get a chance at slightly more measurable rain (40-60%). The main chances for heavier showers and storms arrive Wednesday evening into Thursday morning as plenty of moisture is getting transferred from the south to Missouri (60%). Entering next weekend, lower rain chances continue (20-30%) and a cooling trend is expected.
