Tracking mild conditions through homecoming weekend

TODAY: Mostly sunny and comfortable with highs in the low 70s. Wind gusts could reach up to 20 mph this afternoon.

TOMORROW: Breezes pick up to between 15-25 mph on Saturday but expect an overall gorgeous day to head out. Highs remain warmer than average in the low 70s.

EXTENDED: We'll be a touch cooler on Sunday with clouds rolling in late in the day, but the afternoon stays dry with highs in the upper 60s. A weak disturbance could bring a few showers overnight Sunday into Monday, but high pressure keeps us dry and mild Monday. The jet stream begins to turn more southwesterly over the region by midweek, sending several more intense disturbances between Tuesday and Thursday. We can expect rounds of rain and a few storms with total rain amounts between 1-2". Highs remain in the 70s through Wednesday before a front slides east on Friday, bringing cooler temperatures into next weekend.
