Tracking scattered showers and storms to end the workweek

TODAY: Mostly cloudy and seasonal in the upper 70s. Isolated to scattered storms are possible through the day with chances tapering off into the evening.

TOMORROW: The weekend starts off dry, giving temperatures a chance to reach 80 in the afternoon. A robust round of storms is likely late Saturday near sundown, with rain filling in overnight.

EXTENDED: There is a limited risk for strong storms Saturday into Sunday, however, by the time storms enter Mid-Missouri we'll be losing available energy to keep storms as robust. Still, isolated strong wind gusts and rain amounts in the 1-2" range are likely through Sunday morning. Sunday is cooler behind the front with highs only reaching the upper 60s to around 70 with some lingering rain. Next week looks more fall-like with morning temperatures in the mid-50s and highs in the lower 70s along with fairly dry weather for much of the week.
