Tracking rain chances dropping by this evening

TODAY: Scattered rain is possible through late this afternoon as showers struggle to move in from the west. Football games this evening may start off wet, but rain chances drop dramatically approaching sundown.

TOMORROW: The weekend starts mostly dry, giving temperatures a chance to reach the 80s in the afternoon. A round of storms is likely late Saturday near sundown, moving in from west to east. The first storms that arrive near sundown will be the strongest, possibly bringing severe winds and hail. This risk is limited, though, and storms weaken into the overnight.

EXTENDED: Showers look to last much of Sunday, keeping temperatures in the lower 70s. Rain totals will reach 1" to 2" over the weekend for a lucky few, with higher amounts to the west. Next week looks more fall-like with morning temperatures in the mid-50s and highs in the lower 70s along with fairly dry weather for much of the week.
