Tracking rain struggling to move in early this week

TONIGHT: Temperatures will be cooling through the 70s and upper 60s through sundown. We're entirely dry for outdoor plans, which may not be the case for much of the week ahead.

TOMORROW: Clouds return into Tuesday with rain also creeping in from the northwest. We are still forecast to remain dry, with temperatures soaring back to the mid to upper 80s. Better rain chances may build in from the west by late Tuesday, but newest data is still keeping the majority of us dry.

EXTENDED: Rain will struggle to push in from the west on Wednesday, those in eastern Missouri will still likely stay entirely dry. Scattered rain is still possible on Thursday, but this chance is even lower than Wednesday. The best chances for rain are now pushing further late week as a cold front will move through close to the weekend. Timing is still variable so rain chances will likely shift as we get closer It's possible that we see more than 2 inches in some places over the next 7 days, with best chances for those higher amounts west of HWY 63.
