Tracking storm activity today and a brief break from rain

TONIGHT: I'm tracking showers and storms building ahead of a cold front. Before sundown, storms that develop will have the potential for gusty winds and sub-severe hail stones. I'm tracking chances for isolated severe thunderstorms for the rest of the afternoon and early evening. The main area of concern is central and NE Missouri, and the main threats that will be seen with these storms are 60+ mph winds. After sundown, the severe threat quickly diminishes, and Missouri will finish out the night with scattered showers.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking clouds exiting quickly, winds from the NW at 5-10 mph, and dry conditions for mid-MO. Temperatures will start in the mid-50's, then warm up into the mid-70's by the afternoon. It will be a pleasant setup in Missouri.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking temperatures quickly bouncing back into the high 70's and low 80's by the time the next work week rolls around. Mostly sunny skies are expected Monday, and Tuesday clouds will gradually build through the afternoon and evening. Wednesday I'm tracking the potential for a warm front to push through mid-MO, bringing chances for showers and storms that last into Thursday morning. Southerly winds through the second half of the week will keep us in the high 70's, and slight rain chances will hang around into the weekend.
